Suitable for all levels including complete beginners. Classes are focused on alignment, connection with the breath, and cultivating awareness and intelligence throughout the entire body. We will work with the classical postures and their modifications to develop and refine your practice in a slow, safe, and systematic manner.
The breath is the connection between the body and mind, so when we learn to control the breath, we can slowly gain more control over our mind and emotions. Yoga is about building strength of mind as well as developing physical strength.
Whether you’re completely new to yoga, or have been practicing a while, it’s always good to go back to basics to reconnect with your foundation to ensure you’re building your practice in a safe and mindful manner. Classes are influenced by BKS Iyengar and his alignment based approach to working with the postures.
