Ukulele Takeover - Mossley Hill Beer Festival
Come join us at our 'ukulele takeover' of Mossley Hill Beer Festival in the amazing setting of Mossley Hill - yes, it’s on a hill!
A brilliant set up - nice big marquee; excellent range of beers, ciders and gins; great food; a nice big stage, great sound PA and ...... A UKULELE TAKEOVER!!
OK, we won’t over play it... It’s an amazing local beer festival, organised and delivered by a group of keen volunteers, to raise money for local charities. The beer festival runs for three days and the Sunday will be the best day for fans of live music and a bit of a passion for the uke. A little get together for friends and family in a warm and welcoming setting.
So, who's on?
We have asked some of the best ukulele bands in Merseyside to 'formally' come along and play but we hope to have many more come join in for our open mic session and wherever we can squeeze in the odd jam. Certainly they'll be a few spontaneous performances and the barrels run dry!
The formal bit will consist of:
2 pm - Ukulele Club Liverpool
3 pm - River City Ukes
4 pm - Open mic - Wirral Ukulele Orchestra
4.30pm - Open mic - Ukuleighties
5pm - Open mic - Fagin's Boys
5.30 - Open mic - D'Ukes of Hazard
6 pm - Secret Ukulele Band
7 pm - Splintered Ukes
This is a charity beer festival raising awareness of and supporting Cerebral Palsy Sport, The Alzheimer's Society, Garston Adventure Playground, local scouts, sport at Mossley Hill and the Hoylake Summer Strum.
Tickets are £5 per session
