Our fully funded, 7 date training programme is designed to give you the confidence, skills and knowledge you need to ‘Take the Stress out of Managing People’.
Experts from Amacus and Collingwood Legal will guide you through the key areas including:
How your own organisation’s culture, values and behaviours are important in managing people
An awareness of equality, performance and disciplinary do’s and dont’s
How to increase personal confidence and become a more effective manager
How to reduce stress in the workplace
How to improve and manage your communication methods
Day 1: Thurs 14th Sep, 8.30am - 1.30pm (Induction)
Day 2: Tues 26th Sept, 9am - 5pm (Key Management Principles - Accredited)
Day 3: Tues 10th Oct, 9am - 5pm (Understanding Organisational Culture, Values and Behaviour)
Day 4: Tues 24th Oct, 9am - 5pm (Managing Communication)
Day 5: Tues 7th Nov, Times to be agreed with delegates (1:1 Review Sessions)
Day 6: Tues 21st Nov, 9am - 5pm (Improving Team Performance)
Day 7: Tues 5th Dec, 9am - 1pm (Summary and Review)

Venue: SASMI, Washington Road, Sunderland, Tyne and Wear, SR5 3HE (SR5 3HZ for sat-nav)
Duration: 7 day programme – One day per fortnight
Cost: FULLY FUNDED* (European Social Fund via Gateshead College)
ON COMPLETION OF THE PROGRAMME, DELEGATES CAN PROGRESS TO CMI LEVEL 3 CERTIFICATE IN FIRST LINE MANAGEMENT AND/OR LEVEL 3 HIGHER LEVEL APPRENTICESHIP IN LEADERSHIP & MANAGEMENT. CREDITS GAINED DURING PROGRAMME WILL COUNT TOWARDS ACCREDITED PRIOR LEARNING OF BOTH QUALIFICATIONS ABOVE.
*To be eligible for this training you must work for a company with a base/office within Tyne and Wear, Co. Durham or Northumberland.
Who should attend the programme?
The programme is suitable for any employees including but not limited to: supervisors, team leaders, managers, HR staff, union reps, health, wellbeing and safety colleagues, and aspiring managers.
How many places can I book?
Places are not limited for organisations but if you have 10 or more attendees please contact us to arrange an individual programme for your workplace.
Is the course accredited?
Credits gained during this programme will count towards CMI Certificate Level 3 in First Line Management and / or Level 3 Higher Level Apprenticeship in Leadership and Management. We can facilitate progression onto either of these courses.
