Counselling is integral part to the ministry of healing, wholeness and deliverance. If you’re serious about being a practitioner of deliverance ministry then you’ll need to acquire the skills required for supernatural counselling.

The Holy Spirit is the Wonderful Counsellor and He empowers us to flow in words of knowledge, words of wisdom, pastoral grace and the heart of the Father. These elements are crucial to effective deliverance and deep-level healing. These training evenings are designed to equip you in the basic theoretical and practical steps needed to skilfully help people work through their problems in partnership with the Holy Spirit. We’ll be instructed by the wonderful David Akerman.

David Akerman, Dip. PsyC., BA (Hons), MTh, PhD (cand) is a pastor and counsellor with nearly 20 years of experience supporting people in the local church. After beginning his ministry in a Christian rehabilitation centre, he went on to pastor and counsel hundreds of people in the churches he helped lead, and to pastor and counsel other pastors and church leaders, too. David has led churches in Monaco and in the UK and currently leads a church in Warrington, England, which is part of the LifeChurch Network. David graduated in counselling and psychotherapy from CWR at Waverley House in Guilford, after which he gained a Bachelor’s degree in Theology and Diploma in Christian leadership from Mattersey Bible College and the University of Wales, which led to studying theology at the University of Oxford and graduating with a Master’s degree. David is currently studying for his doctorate at the University of Durham.

*This training will accrue credits towards certification and licence to minister as a Restoration Centre Minister. For further details email, restoration@freshfire.org.uk
