Eligibility This is a three hour event for people working with children and young people in West Sussex. Course Content This Mental ill-health and substance misuse in young people under the age of 18 course will cover: • Definitions, attitudes & the young person’s experience • Identifying mental ill-health and substance misuse - ‘Signs and symptoms’? • Identifying and responding more effectively to young people experiencing both mental health and substance use issues • Being aware of support pathways and key service providers in the county Getting to the venue The nearest train station to Field Place is Durrington rail and then a 10 minute walk. The Pulse is a bus service which runs regularly nearby. There is free car parking on site and disabled spaces. Timings The course runs from 10:00 - 13:00. Please arrive in good time to allow for a prompt start. Registration fee and cancellations Your £15 registration fee for this course is non refundable Please notify us ASAP if you are unable to attend the course.
