FREE Full Day Multi Agency Event on Substance Misuse & Brief Interventions.
This introductory course in substance misuse aims to inform participants with basic substance awareness covering illegal substances.
This FREE one day course covers:
- Substance misuse awareness including illegal drugs
- Facts vs Myths
- Substance categories
- The signs and symptoms of substance misuse
- Substance dependence
- Substance misuse and the law
- Motivation and brief interventions
- Support available and how to refer
This event is a great opportunity to network with professionals from other organisations and share ideas about the possible ways to approach the growing problem of Drug misuse amongst your clients/service users. The training is very interactive and informal and we hope that you will also have a bit of fun too!
These courses are funded by Derbyshire County Council for anyone working/volunteering in the fields of health, social or community work.
