Stockton Borough Asylum Seeker and Refugee Forum
Stockton Borough Asylum Seeker and Refugee Forum 14th August
We are planning to have the next Forum meeting on Wednesday, 14th August at 9.00am to 11.00am in the Jim Cooke Conference Room in Stockton Central Library, Church Road, Stockton.
We have brought it forward a week from the original date to give us a little more time to reflect on any discussions in advance of the new asylum seeker housing provider formally starting in September.
Those people that volunteered, at the first forum meeting, to be part of a steering group for future agendas will be contacted shortly to help us plan the content for the meeting above. As soon as the agenda is set it will be available here.
** Please note **
Change of agenda:
In response to recent developments, with the new contract for asylum seeker accommodation, there has been a change to the agenda to focus discussion on the emerging issues and their impact on asylum seekers in the borough.
This will give the Forum the timely opportunity to collectively identify Stockton borough issues to be fed into the North East Migration Partnership meeting later this week. The NEMP meeting will have representatives of both Mears and Migrant Help in attendance to give an update and listen to feedback on the transition process to date.
