A Soirée of French Music, Art and Fashion
Debussy and Chaminade meet Art and Fashion from Paris
This concert is inspired by The French Exposition Universelle of 1889 which influenced Debussy. The programme also features rarely performed work by the under-rated composer Chaminade. These two composers, together with Poulenc played by Hiroko Yamamoto and Pei-Chao Liao, will be interpreted by Art works from renowned and respected artists: Mari Kidd, through her work with wood-block prints; Vintage Scarves from stylist, Yuko Takayanagi; and Flower arrangements and Bas-relief from florist & artist, Kiyomi Okamoto. Yuko and Kiyomi are travelling from Paris especially for this unusual event. Our hope is that you will be transported to the world of the Exposition Universelle. All works will be for sale at the concert.
Pre-book tickets at £25, at the door at £30
