Royal Naval Reserve Experience - HMS Ceres, Leeds 26/03/20
Want to keep fit, make new friends and gain new skills in your spare time? Get a taste of life as a Royal Navy Reservist at our free Royal Naval Reserve Experience on 26th March 2020. Spaces are limited, so make sure you register your interest in plenty of time.
As well as learning about the different branches and specialisms of the Royal Naval Reserve, you’ll get the chance to:
• Handle the latest operational weapons
• Take part in a firefighting and leadership practical tasks
• Experience a sea survival (dry) activity
There will be a great opportunity to mingle with serving reservists and get your questions answered.
What you’ll need
You will need to bring along photo ID and report to the main gate no later than 7.30pm in order gain access to the event. Under-18s will need to be accompanied by an adult who will also need photo ID.
As some activities are outdoors, we’d recommend bringing warm clothing, a waterproof jacket and comfortable shoes.
For those that are travelling by car, there is on-site parking.
About the Royal Naval Reserve
The Royal Naval Reserve is the volunteer force of the Royal Navy. With a basic commitment of 24 days a year, you’ll take part in training exercises, defence drills and adventure activities, often overseas. You could even be mobilised for an operational tour of duty.
You'll develop skills that will benefit your career, experience adventures you couldn't have anywhere else, and serve your community – all alongside your day job.
