Roundabout Sleep Out 2018
Could you 'rough it' for one night to prevent homelessness becoming a reality for vulnerable young people in Sheffield?
By joining our sponsored Sleep Out, you will be helping to end youth homelessness.
Our Sleep Out will be held on Friday 9 November 2018 from 8pm until 7am the next day, at 92 Burton Rd – home to the famous Peddler Night Market in Kelham Island.
Brave the cold winter night by swapping your bed for a sleeping bag and a cold hard floor in a warehouse and raise as much in sponsorship as possible to help us support young homeless people in Sheffield. Participants are encouraged to raise £150 each to help us end youth homelessness.
Be inspired by young people supported by Roundabout and hear how youth homelessness is an issue in our city and how you can help. Enjoy some food and entertainment during the evening, then at midnight it's lights down and into sleeping bags as the challenge begins.
An event like this cannot truly replicate what it is like to be lonely, frightened and homeless, but it can help make a real difference. Your £150 could buy a Home Starter pack for a young person when they move into their own tenancy.
What to bring
As the event is in November and in a huge warehouse, it’s going to be very chilly! We advise all participants to make sure they wrap up warm, wear plenty of layers and bring along a sleeping bag and blankets.
End Youth Homelessness
The Roundabout Sleep Out takes part in the same month as other youth homeless charities in the UK, who are all part of the End Youth Homelessness partnership.
