The Richmond Park Half Marathon offers runners the opportunity to enjoy beautiful woodland trails and a mixture of terrain as they complete the 13.1 mile course.
With aid stations, chip-timing, bag drop and toilets provided, runners can focus on running their best race and enjoying the day.
The event is suitable for first-timers and experienced runners alike. The race is capped at a few hundred runners, so you will have plenty of space to enjoy your run and to enjoy the fresh air and views that Richmond Park has to offer.
Course; We start off at Sheen Gate where the race HQ start and finish area will be and take runners off up to Richmond Gate and return back to Sheen Gate then we move on off through the centre of the park up to the White House and amazing views of the lakes in the park and hopefully lots of wildlife too. From there, the runners will head down to Robin Hood Gate and join the Tamsin trail path that snakes around the inner walls of the Royal Park, you climb up Broomfield Hill for the drinks station and then carry along towards Kingston Gate - the route continues along through some wooded area to Ham Gate where we will have another drinks / feed station to keep the runners going. The runners are sent off onto Petersham Gate with some amazing views of the Park and we turn around and return to Ham Gate and send runners up the main track along side the Queens Road where we will cross safely and return towards the main private road that runs through the centre of the park - this section is flat and fast and eventually the runners reach the White House and head back towards Sheen Gate and the finish area for the 13.1 mile distance.
