Dark and orchestral Rock band from Brighton, UK. "Birdeatsbaby celebrate the strange and obsessive, the freakish and the free-thinking" - The Quietus
Birdeatsbaby are far from your average rock band. Incorporating a varied collection of influences, the band combine piano-lead power-pop with orchestral and melodic rock, resulting in something that sounds hauntingly original and delicate. After forming in 2008 the band quickly became known for their theatrical and visual live appearances, and their infamous music videos. The most well-known being ‘The Trouble’ (directed by Philippa Bloomfield) which has been shown at many film events across the UK. Recently the band released their third studio album 'The Bullet Within', which was crowd-funded by their fans, aptly names 'The Flock.' The album was pioneered by Chris Hawkins on 6 Music who called it "splendid cabaret style art-rock". It also received 4**** from Q Magazine and R2 (Rock n Reel), and continues to prove that the weird and wonderful world of Birdeatsbaby is something that all music enthusiasts can enjoy across the genres.

Symphonie Shenanigans, folktronica soundtracks & remixes. Most commonly found in costume and attending festivals, shows and events as a minstrel. Based in Cornwall in the UK GurdyBird is inspired by the worlds occupied by Playford, the City Waites and Nine Inch Nails, via Adam Ant. She plays a symphony Hurdy-Gurdy over her backing tracks which she performs, programmes and records herself, creating original compositions inspired by Cornish culture and folklore, Tyburn and unusual renditions of traditional folk tunes and shanties. She combines her musical performances with poetry and, for the full shebang, projects her music videos during performances, which she collaborates on for a multimedia, story-telling effect. She also roams acoustically at events, performs plugged in without the videos if the venue isn't able to facilitate and also dabbles in remixing.

“'The Sweetchunks are so good that I would happily sell my own grandmother just to watch them play live again. Funny, lively and superb musicians, they are perfect accompaniment to any party, social gathering or hostile takeover. I love them. And I love their beards. I wish I had a beard like them. I wish I was them.'” - Professor Elemental
The Sweetchunks Band are a Southampton based eccentric comedy outfit, performing bastardised versions of songs that you know and brilliant versions of songs that you don’t. They are known for their ability to entertain any audience with a fun, engaging performance that leave people smiling, dancing and humming the tunes for hours afterwards. The Sweetchunks Band create a memorable evening of fun and dancing. The Sweetchunks Band play an unusual, yet compelling amalgamation of parodic folk, rock, chap-hop and drinking anthems, fused into a Steampunk horse carriage of farcical and anecdotal comedy. Not to be missed.
