Welcome to the inaugural RBL ‘Poppy Posse’ cycling ride. You are invited to join the RBL London staff Area Team for a friendly cycle ride as part of an alternative up-beat Remembrance 'Armed Forces Day' activity. A 13 mile easy paced ride as a human poppy chain, pedalling by over 34+ war memorials in central London. Bring your own picnic for the lunch stop off, in a public open green space.
DRESS CODE: RED; any style or costume, Lycra or vintage - in RED.
Form up 10.30am at RBL HQ, London Pop In Centre, Haig House, SE1 1AA. (nearest tube Borough or London Bridge).
At registration you will be able to adorn your bicycle with RBL branded flags and poppies; study and discuss map with memorial listing and enjoy a free cuppa and biscuits before setting off sharp by 11.30am.
Awards for 'Best Poppy Red Outfit' and 'Best Decorated Bicycle'.

Printed route maps and memorial listing will be handed out on the day.
On Sunday many of the surrounding roads have no operating parking controls. Limited Parking is available on site for those bringing multiple riders and bicycles - once registered please email
Bring with you:
- A picnic, water.
- Front and rear lights, (in case it's dark on the ride, when you decide to head home)
- Sun screen
You need to be able to repair your own puncture;
basic bike tool & puncture repair kit, or spare inner tube or instant spray repair aerosol.
- Bicycle pump
Make sure your bike is roadworthy, in particular check:
- Brakes work properly
- Tyres are sufficiently inflated
- Chain runs freely and the gear changes are smooth
- No obvious loose connections (check especially your handlebars, saddle, cranks, pedals)
- Wheels run true (don't wobble from side to side when moving)
This event is not a fund raiser; if you wish to make a donation, you may do so in the collection tin at the Pop In Centre, but this is NOT obligatory.
