A project lead artist and all materials will be provided but you may also want to bring something specific that you have an idea to use, maybe a cut out newspaper article or a special photograph.
From 20th August - 9th September 2018, 10 Valleys’ street pianos will arrive at sites across the South Wales valleys, from Cwmbran to Pontardawe.
These are free Street Pianos for any member of the public to play and enjoy.
This Is part of a wider artwork called Play Me, I’m Yours that has been touring internationally since 2008.
Play Me, I’m Yours is an artwork by British artist Luke Jerram. Over 1500 pianos have been temporarily installed in cities across the globe, from New York to Sydney, bearing the simple instruction ‘Play Me, I’m Yours’. The Valleys’ Pianos has been brought to you by the Welsh Government and ‘Our Valleys, Our Future’ – the Valleys Ministerial Taskforce.
The Valleys Taskforce teamed up with local singer-songwriter Kizzy Crawford and primary schools to write an original song: Ein Cymoedd, Our Valleys! Listen now online @TalkValleys OR have a go at playing the song yourself on the piano and share it here; #EinCymoedd / #OurValleys
