Peace and Remembrance:

About the Project:

After the end of World War 1, how did soldiers and their families want to commemorate the war here in Birmingham
With a memorial? Or a hospital ward, library or public baths?
Secret City Arts, working closely with schools and the local community, explored these questions through archive research and creative workshops
The resulting film and activity publication formed part of a series of engagements at the 2018 Centenary.

Workshop:

We would now like to invite you to join us in a hands on workshop that explores our creative practice and project content. It will be suitable for education, drama, media and history students or those working within arts and community settings.
We have a limited number of small bursaries available to cover costs.
These are available by application to secretcityarts@gmail.com
There is also a launch event 5.30-7.30 which is bookable separateley  https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/peace-and-remembrance-launch-tickets-54529653662
