Our mission statement

We are SPI, a charity established by the local community to re- ‐ open, manage, improve and restore Stanley Halls. We will offer spaces for people to enjoy a varied programme of arts, leisure, education, information and celebration.

To do this we will seek help and funding to revive this heritage building so a wider audience can access it. Inventor and philanthropist William Stanley's 1903 vision for his halls still stands: "Justice, Liberty and Science". Today we think this means offering opportunity, innovation and participation. South Norwood needs this much-loved heritage building as its focal point. SPI will enable our community to use, improve, preserve and love Stanley Halls now and for future generations.
