National Youth Orchestra Fundraising Recital
My name is Tom and I am 16 years old. This is my third year in the National Youth Orchestra (NYO) and I am performing a violin recital to raise funds for NYO. I will be playing together with the wonderful pianist Ms Anya Fadina. We will be performing music by Beethoven (Kreutzer Sonata), Tchaikovsky and Sarasate. As well as the music, there will be drinks and canapés provided and a chance to chat about the orchestra.
The concert is free but do please register for tickets here as seats are strictly limited.
I would also welcome any donations you are able to make to support my concert and NYO, whether you are able to come or not. Please visit my fundraising site
NYO exists to give breakthrough experiences of orchestral music to teenage musicians and audiences of all backgrounds and NYO needs to rely on donors and supporters to raise over £1.7M every year. In order to increase the reach and impact of its activity, NYO has also launched NYO Inspire which targets committed young musicians who lack opportunities to advance their playing. As members of NYO, part of our commitment is to work with musicians in these NYO Inspire events across the country.
Every year NYO musicians raise funds to help support the orchestra and all musician fundraising in 2019 is going towards our UK summer tour this July. Your donation will go towards helping my peers and me bring our brilliant programme to Stoke-on-Trent, Saffron Walden, and finally to the BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall at the end of July (
