Meditation and Mindfulness for Wellbeing is an 8-week long course which provides an introduction to meditation and mindfulness. Its main objective is to equip you with tools to deal with stress and other modern living issues, and, ultimately, to achieve a greater sense of wellbeing and vitality.

This course blends traditional Zen with secular scientific research. All the practices used in it are very simple and incredibly effective thus, it is highly practical and can easily be incorporated into daily life. Here what some attendees said about their personal experience with the course.

The benefits of meditation and mindfulness are numerous as shown by more and more researches and studies (https://www.mindful.org/five-ways-mindfulness-meditation-is-good-for-your-health/). From building a level of stress-resistance to constantly lowering blood pressure and heart rate. Also, they can improve our mood, decrease our anxiety, help with job burnout, improve the immune system and many others. It goes without saying that improving all these areas will have a positive impact on us when it comes to enjoying our life, being happy and more satisfied with things in general.

The outline of the course I run is as follows:

  1. Orientation. Introduction
  2. Stress
  3. Meditation and Mindfulness and Physical Pain
  4. Emotional Stress, Anxiety and Depression
  5. Role Stress and Time Pressure
  6. Taking Care of Yourself
  7. Elevated Function
  8. Changing Your Life

During the course, we will learn traditional Zen meditation and mindfulness practices and how to incorporate them into our daily life. However, the course is not religious or spiritual oriented but only designed to promote and improve health and wellbeing.

The course is based on the mindfulness for wellbeing program as taught and run by Zenways. It is not Buddhist, spiritual or religious and does not require you to be anything but curious to explore your own development.
