Meditation for LGBTQ Women and Trans
LGBTQ women & trans meditation is a peer-run space for LGBT/queer Buddhists and meditators to connect and share our practice together. Open to all levels of experience and people new to meditation are most welcome. A typical evening looks like this:
7pm - Gathering and hellos
7.15pm - Qi Gong, meditation and mindfulness practice
8.30pm - Tea break
8.50pm - Meditation and mindfulness practice
We usually alternate the mindfulness of breathing, the metta bhavana (loving-kindess) meditation, walking meditation, body scans or open sits. There will be some guidance available for newcomers. The practices will be supported by readings and poetry.
The class runs on the second Friday of every month (no class in August). Feel free to drop-in, donations are welcome.
