Loud In The Library - Birkenhead
Supported by the Foundation for Youth Music, the award winning Get It Loud In Libraries team are bringing their Music Industry Camps to Birkenhead.
Get it Loud In Libraries have brought artists including Jorja Smith, Sam Fender, Kate Tempest, Adele, Florence and The Machine, Fontaines DC and Idles to libraires around the UK and they're back to give more young people an insight into getting started in the music industry, and a role in producing a gig with singer songwriter Liz Lawrence.
This free event is strictly limited to a maximum of 12 young people aged 12 - 16, who will spend the week working with musicians, performers, songwriters and music professionals to develop their own songs and music, and learn new musical skills.
As part of the programme of events, the Loud in Libraries team will be producing a gig with french indie band Juniore on 26/4/2020
The camp is free - a refundable deposit of £10.00 is required to secure your booking, and will be refunded on completion of the programme.
Places are strictly limited - if you book a place and can not take up your place please cancel your booking BEFORE 30th March for a refund, so your place can be offered to someone on the waiting list.
Participants must be able to commit to attending all three days of the camp.
7th - 9th April - Participants should arrive promptly at the library for a 9.30 am start and be collected at 4pm.
26th April - Participants should arrive promptly for a 12.00 start and be collected at 4.30pm
Drinks and snacks will be provided but participants should bring their own lunch.
Participants will gain formal accreditation in the form of Arts Award at Bronze Level. There's more information about Arts Award here www.artsaward.org.uk
Participants will be expected to complete up to 6 hours work towards this award in their own time outside the sessions.
