T Level Construction BSE Workshop - Online
Professional Practice in teaching Construction on site and BSE T Level
This 2-hour, practical session will introduce professional practice and encourage knowledge development. A sample of the on site construction BSE T Level outline will be explored with reference to current industry practice with a focus on preparing learners for the employer set project and industry placement.
Who is this for?
The session is designed for T Level educators; this includes course leaders, lecturers, trainers, teachers, assessors, curriculum planners and managers.
Where? On-Line Skype
10.00am – 12.00pm
Overview of T levels – Taking delegates through the background of how the outline content was developed, the vision of employers and I focus on the assessment objectives for the exam(s).
Employer set project – there are a lot of misconceptions about this so I go through key principles, then ask delegates to think about learning
Industry set project – again a bit about principles and then asking delegates to think about how to prepare students not in general terms but thinking about theory and skills and what needs to be covered before they go on placement.
Curriculum planning – I make reference to this throughout trying to get delegates to think about how to organise the curriculum.
12.00pm - Close
