This seminar is ideally for Radiographers, Urology Nurses, Junior Doctors, Registrars.

An introduction to urology ultrasound provides an opportunity for delegates to recognise the principles of ultrasound and how this applies to urology ultrasound. Expert lectures provided by the AECC team include: ultrasound knobology, renal, bladder wall and testicular assessment and there pathologies, professional issues and ultrasound safety. Delegates will proceed to the fully equipped clinical centre which includes state of the art Samsung medical systems (MIS Healthcare) to locate and recognise the renal system by ultrasound.
Seminar Learning Outcomes
Identify ultrasound knobology that optimises an image.
Recognise normal ultrasound appearances of kidneys, bladder and testes and common pathologies.
Locate the organs of the renal system using ultrasound.
08:30: Registration & Coffee
09:00-09:45am: Ultrasound knobology and quality assurance
09:45-10:45am: Kidneys and Bladder
11:00-13:00: Practical Scanning of the kidneys and bladder.
15:00-16:30: Practical scanning of the testes
