Introduction to Learning and Teaching (formerly called PLTO)
This event is open to members of Oxford University, Social Sciences Division DPhil students and research staff
The Divisional Introduction to Learning and Teaching (formerly called PLTO) is an interactive and discursive course consisting of 4 x 2-hour lively sessions in which attendees will explore, with current practitioners, common teaching formats (lectures, small groups, tutorials) and common experiences (for example, group management, preparation, presentation and delivery). Participants attending all 4 sessions will be given an attendance certificate.
It is the minimum requirement for entry onto a graduate teaching register; attendees are advised that departments may require attendance at their own in-house PLTO before allowing entry onto their teaching register; in case of doubt, please check with the relevant department.
You should only sign up if you are able to attend all four sessions.
