The importance of meaningful employer engagement...
Do you want to make a difference to the future labour market? Want to ensure that your future workforce are work ready and employable?
Jess Widdowson from Barnsley College will be discussing the importance of meaningful employer engagements within educational settings and will give an honest insight into the challenges that Barnsley College faces in terms of preparing students for their chosen careers.
Talent United is the employer engagement scheme within Barnsley College, which was created after local and regional employers fed back to the college that people of all ages were leaving college unprepared for the world of work and lacking basic employability skills. The aim of the initiative is to bring together the leaders of today with the talent of tomorrow, to create a culture of employment across the college and provide learners with meaningful employer engagements.
There will be opportunities to find out how you can help as a Talent United partner. As a partner, you can have as much or as little involvement as you like and can select the types of activity that you would like to get involved with on the sign up form. Each and every intervention is incredibly valuable!
