A Hawk on the Wild Side
Take a walk on the wildside this Winter and spend the day in the company of our hawks. A fantastic day out in the Bedfordshire countryside.
Your day will start at 9.45, on arrival you will be met by our falconers and over tea/coffee receive an introduction on your day ahead. For the first part of the day you will have the opportunity to meet and handle some of our beautiful birds including species of falcons, hawks and eagles, learn about the ancient art of falconry, have a go at the falconers knot, free fly some of our eagles and watch a display of our falcon in flight.
We break for lunch at 1.00 where you will enjoy a hearty beef stew with crusty bread. After you are fed and watered we venture out into the fields with a team of hawks.
Harris Hawks work and hunt as a pack, see these hawks in action as they work together in pursuit of prey. Experience the thrill of the chase as you see these predators in action. As you walk the hawks fly alongside of you before swooping into your gloved fist.
The day finishes around 4.30.
Places are limited on this experience so we advise you book early to avoid disappointment.
£49.00 per person.
