Food for Thought is a partnership between Queens Cross Housing Association and Glasgow Caledonian University which has been running since 2017.  This is the second talk of 2020 and we hope you can join us for some discuss and a hot meal afterwards.

We take medicines to improve our health, but what about the health of the environment? Whenever we take medication, some of it reaches our rivers via the waste water system. There, it can affect fish and other organisms. With an estimated 100 million treatments prescribed each year in Scotland and an ageing population, this is set to grow. Join Dr. Karin Helwig from GCU’s School of Computing, Engineering and the Built Environment to debate this important environmental issue and find out what might be done to tackle the problem and what we can all do to help.

Queens Cross Housing Association tenants and members of the community are welcome to attend.

Please email Susan at GCU (susan.grant@gcu.ac.uk) if you have any questions or you can call QCHA Regeneration Team on 0141 589 7435
