This is an invitation to join us at a free conference at the University of Manchester to discuss the recent ‘Seahorse’ case of Freddie McConnell, the trans man who gave birth in the UK, and the legal and ethical challenges presented by trans-pregnancies. We plan to explore the limits of fertility treatment, human rights law in the trans community, the legal definition of a mother, and the welfare of the child. (Supported by funding from the Institute of Medical Ethics)
