EXHIBITION OPENING EVENT: Gordon Parks: A Choice of Weapons
Join us in celebrating the exhibition launch of 'Gordon Parks: Choice of Weapons', which Side has developed in partnership with Autograph ABP and The Gordon Parks Foundation for Freedom City Festival.
Mark Sealy, Curator and Director of Autograph ABP will be present to introduce and discuss Gordon Parks work.
This is a free event and complimentary snacks & drinks will be provided.
Do I have to pay to attend?
Answer: No, this is a free event and snacks and drinks will also be provided free of charge.However, if you like what we do and would like to support us financially with a donation, we would be more than grateful. To do this select the number of RSVPs then enter a donation amount into the 'OPTIONAL DONATION' box. If you do not wish to give a donation, just leave this box blank.
Do I need to bring my ticket?
Answer: No, there is no need to bring printed or digital evidence of yout reservation. Your RSVP is used only to give us an indication of attendance figures and will not be used to reserve you a seat. If you require a seat for medical reasons, please contact the gallery at email@example.com and we will be more than happy to reserve you one.
Are you wheelchair friendly?
Answer: Yes, we are a fully accessible venue and have an elevator to all exhibition levels.
How long will the event last.
Answer: The talk/presentation will last approximately 60 minutes (2pm-3pm), followed by snacks and drinks. Attendees are free to leave at any time, although we ask that disruption is kept to a minimum whilst our guest is speaking.
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
No, everyone is welcome.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
There is parking available on the Quayside. Nearest parking is Akenside Hill. The Q2 bus stops a few steps away from our entrance. Nearest metro station is Monument or Central Station.
