Effective Leadership Series: HR for Senior Leaders
This workshop will explore some of the more demanding HR issues that leaders and managers may encounter from time to time. It will focus in particular on the leadership challenges associated with some of the more sensitive situations around issues such as absence, performance, discipline and grievance.
We will reference relevant university policies and employment law for context, but the objective is to take a deeper look into the practicalities of how such situations can develop, the critical role the line manager plays in the handling them and how your HR Business Partner can support you in reaching a resolution.
This session will include discussion of some fictional case studies and explore some practical solutions.
The session will be led by Fran Hardisty, Head of HR Business Partnering here at the University of Liverpool.
Fran will draw on input from key colleagues who will share their experience and expertise, and there will be an opportunity for discussion and questions from delegates.
