Durham City Archers Beginners Course - JANUARY 2020
The DCA Beginners' Course runs for 4 consecutive weeks, with the January Course running as follows; 11th, 18th, 25th January & 1st February The course takes place each Saturday between 2pm and 4pm weekly and all sessions must be attended to successfully complete the course.
PLEASE NOTE - The course has mixed participation with both Adult & Junior places available. Junior Members must be accompanied by a responsible Adult throughout the course. Where a junior is aged 12 or over, the accompanying adult may supervise from the hall or upstairs level. For juniors aged 10 and 11 years, the responsible adult must also purchase a ticket and participate on the course. We also recommend that where possible attendees arrive 15 minutes early to allow for a prompt start to the session.
Payment & Refund Practice:
All places for Beginners’ Courses run by Durham City Archers must be booked through the appropriate course page hosted by Eventbrite. Follow links on the DCA
Payments made on the course page constitute the full course cost; this includes a payment processing fee of: £4.77 for Adult registrations, £3.12 for junior (under 18s) registrations and a £10 non-refundable deposit/administration fee. This price also includes a finger sling, finger tab and armguard for each course member to keep following the course. For more information about course fee amounts please see course booking pages.
Place Cancellations & Refunds
Any customer wishing to cancel their place on a Beginners’ Course, or request a refund, should ‘Request a refund’ using this option within the course page on Eventbrite. Information on how to do this can be found at:
Please note: we operate a refund request deadline – this deadline is THREE WEEKS BEFORE the course start date. Any requests received after this time will not be processed.
If a refund request has been received before midnight of the deadline date; the customer will be contacted by the Durham City Archers Beginners’ Liaison to arrange refund by cheque to the address provided on the original booking. The refund will be the total course fee minus a £10 non-refundable deposit/administration fee.
After a refund request has been received and processed the course place(s) will be re-advertised and made available for other customers to purchase.
If an individual expresses that they will be unable to attend the course AFTER the deadline date, no refund will be processed and the Beginners’ Liaison will contact them to confirm this. At this time the place(s) will be re-advertised and made available for other customers to purchase.
Please be aware that we are a volunteer organisation and it may take up to two weeks for your refund request to be acknowledged. We make every effort to respond quickly and thank you for your patience in this matter.
When you purchase beginners course tickets the following information may be collected and shared with the coaching team, beginner’s liaison officer and Club Secretary, for example: First Name, Surname, Gender, Date of Birth / Age, Email, Address, Phone number, Disability info. This is collected for the purpose of assessing participation and additional needs.
