Dealing With Cancer In The Workplace 2020
By 2030, there will be almost 1 million people with cancer in the UK workforce.
With an increasing amount of people living with cancer, Maggie’s is working in partnership with employment lawyers from Brabners to offer practical guidance to local employers - including by way of interactive case studies - on how to support colleagues with cancer and to show you why you need to get it right from an employment law perspective.
Our workshop aims to help employers ...
- Understand the emotional, physical and psychological needs of employees with cancer.
- Outline the support that Maggie’s can offer to colleagues with cancer and their families and line managers.
- Approach situations with knowledge, empathy and understanding.
- Create the right framework to manage employees with cancer.

Booking the first place is free, but as a charity we receive no NHS funding and as such would be hugely grateful if you would consider making a donation to our Centre if more than one person is booking or has booked from the same organisation. The suggested donation is £50, which would help us provide an exercise class for up to 10 people to help build strength and confidence during cancer treatment and afterwards. Workshop numbers are limited to allow for group discussion arround specific topics.
