Creatives' Club #027: Get Artisan
A space to connect, network, forge relationships, hatch plans, collaborate, skill share, be curious, ask questions and discuss all things entrepreneurship, business, and beyond.
GUEST SPEAKERS : Neil Denny
Neil will show you how embracing connection, complexity and autonomy will help you to drive excellence, innovation and commercial success in your own market. A talk exhorting delegates to move from merely putting in a shift to making the shift to real commitment to their work.
What does it mean to adopt an artisan mindset to our products/services and how can we communicate that to our peers, clients and marketplace and what are the benefits in doing so.
I use a framework of Connection/Complexity/Autonomy to deliver this looking at building smart connections, analogous to the guilds of old, encouraging openness to new ideas, innovating, adjacent possibilities and getting folk to embrace self-accountability and ownership of their own outcomes.
Neil Denny is a lawyer with Roythornes Solicitors in Nottingham as well as being an author and highly regarded speaker. He has spoken at events across Europe and North America since 2010. “Neil is very motivating and enthusiastic. He acknowledges he doesn’t have all of the answers – he challenges me to broaden my creativity and to take risks to explore my own vulnerability.” Dispute Resolution Professional, San Francisco
“Not only is Neil passionate about his work but he is an excellent presenter as well. He was so good we had to turn the lights out to get people to leave.” Richard Hill CEO E-CRM
