BWH Parent Ed 1st Time Parents - Afternoon Tea Course
If you are booked with another hospital, please note that you will not be able to attend.
This is a tea time course for First Time Parents for women either on their own or with a birth partner/companion. It will run on Tuesdays 16 and 23 July 4:00pm-7:00pm (2 sessions of 3 hours each) . You must attend both sessions. A tour is included in that class.
We aim to cover the process of labour and birth, stages of labour, when to come in and what to bring, getting labour started and medical induction, managing pain, self help techniques, birth, assisted birth, caesarean birth and lots of practical babycare skills.
The breastfeeding class for this course will be held on Thursday 25 July 10am-12pm in the Parent Ed Room. If you can not attend that session, you are welcome to join another breastfeeding session, we run breastfeeding workshop every Thursday 10am-12pm, no need to book, just turn up at 10am on a Thursday at the parent education room (lower ground floor).
This course will be taught by Amy Maclean.
Try to attend your course between 30 and 35 weeks.
