Alzheimer Scotland Annual Conference 2020
This year the conference theme is ‘Celebrating 40 years of action on dementia’. At our annual conference we will commemorate our 40th anniversary, hear presentations from our expert panellists from across the dementia community, as well as looking at some of the innovative support and projects that are taking place in Scotland to help people living with dementia, their families and carers.
Once again, this year, the conference is offering practical workshops that have been specifically tailored for people living with dementia, their partners, families and carers which will provide take-home advice and ideas. There will also be an opportunity on the day to meet with one of our Dementia Advisors to discuss what really matters to you.
Throughout the day, delegates will hear from our speakers who will feature in panel discussions and presentations that will explore a range of topics from Brain Health to the future of dementia and hear more from the Scottish Government about the next dementia strategy.
The breakout presentations will provide attendees with the opportunity to learn more about some interesting practice innovations, along with showcasing some of the Intergenerational projects happening across Scotland.
We’ll hear from prominent dementia researchers including Professor Craig Ritchie (Chair of the Psychiatry of Ageing and Director of the Centre for Dementia Prevention at the University of Edinburgh), along with representatives from Scottish Government and the Centre for Policy and Practice at the University of the West of Scotland.
