FREE Full Day Multi Agency Event on Alcohol Awareness & Brief Interventions
This one day course covers:
Facts about alcohol, myths, units and safe limits
- The physical effects of alcohol both short term and long term
- Definitions such as binge drinking, high risk and dependency
- Brief Interventions
- Support available and how to refer
- Please arrive at 9.15am for a prompt 9.30 start.
This event is a great opportunity to network with professionals from other organisations and share ideas about the possible ways to approach the growing problem of alcohol misuse amongst your clients/service users. The training is very interactive and informal and we hope that you will also have a bit of fun too!
These courses are funded by Derbyshire County Council for anyone working/volunteering with Derbyshire adults in the fields of health, social or community work.

Parking: There is paid for parking throughout the town, the closest is Beetwell Street Multi-Storey and the cheapest is Ashgate carpark (past the Health Centre).
Lunch is not provided, however we are based in the town centre near many shops/cafes.
