The African Society of Cambridge University (ASCU) is pleased to invite you to our fourth annual Africa Together Conference, taking place on 10 June 2017 at the prestigious Cambridge Union.**

The theme of this flagship event is ‘Africa and a World in Transition’. In an increasingly interconnected world, we will explore ways in which the continent’s challenges can be turned into new opportunities.

Through speeches, panel discussions and informal conversations, participants will be able to set the tone of the debate regarding many of the pressing questions of our age. With speakers drawn from across the continent and from all walks of life and backgrounds, the discourse is intended to reflect the rich diversity which characterises Africa.

With the conference hosted at the world’s oldest debating society, the proceedings will not only reflect the University’s global reputation for academic excellence and push intellectual boundaries, but also the institution’s commitment to greater engagement with Africa.

We hope that you will join us for what promises to be an engaging and enriching few days. It will be an opportunity to share ideas and form long-lasting connections and networks.

** A private event would be held on 9th June with the speakers. This is not open to the public. Hence, tickets are not available for this.
